This is a bad decision in various ways if he is serious in becoming strong. But I guess it doesn’t matter much, and this only a dump way to grow his constitution. I hope the author you not abandon the mechanical way.
Is so annoying when people made up lames excuses justifying decisions, there’s no pressing matter forcing you, simple assume you want it because is the easiest and accessible way, no need to justifications, either way.

And i feel he is being inconsistent. He affirmed he will refuse to blend with robotic, but he see no problem to mend with random black Dragons.
