The Unemployed Demon Lord – 26

26

Azure waves rose from the sea and washed up on the beach.

Seagulls gliding in the sky flew over the boat and looked down at the man and woman aboard.

After going through a series of twists and turns, after rowing for three days, Merlin and Alice finally crossed the Strait of Orkney and arrived here.

The boat slowly advanced towards the coast, which is composed of a sandy beach and dense thicket.

Merlin jumped out of the boat and looked around, feeling quite strange. He thought he would arrive at some city port. However, there isn’t even a small village in front of him. There’s only wilderness.

Did he leave the forsaken place that is the Death Marshes, only to end up in another forsaken place?

Alice threw down the oars and stumbled towards the shore. Once she got ashore, she collapsed on the beach, gasping for air.

Sweating profusely, she looks like she is about to die from exhaustion…

Surprisingly, Merlin didn’t crack any jokes.

She did all the rowing herself and thus naturally is spent.

Lacking any shred of gentlemanliness, Merlin not only didn’t help Alice out, but also threatened her, saying that he will throw her into the sea to feed the fishes if she doesn’t row.

In the sea, where she had nowhere to run to, Alice, who was feeling like crying, could only play the role of a hard-working laborer and row obediently.

To serve as a slave of the Demon Lord, this was the greatest humiliation Alice has ever suffered in her life.

Supported by her strong desire to survive and willpower, Alice stimulated her potential and rowed across the Strait of Orkney, creating a miracle.

Sure enough, people have to be pushed to unleash their potential, and Alice is no exception…

With Merlin as companion, apart from the time with the plesion, they didn’t suffer any attacks. Alice was quite glad about that.

However, Merlin is really unreasonable. At night, in order to relieve his boredom, he forced Alice to sing.

Despite being quite angry, Alice sang a folk song from the snowy Alps under duress.

Consequently, Merlin shook his head to express dissatisfaction, and then, as if reciting a Buddhist scripture, taught Alice a song and made her sing it.

When Alice listened to what seemed like a small tribe’s shepherd song and even more like a nursery rhyme, her body and mind rejected it. However, afraid that Merlin would throw her overboard to feed the fishes, she sang obediently —

Happy goat, pretty goat [1]~?

The embarrassing song resounded across the sea. Thus, the famous moronic goat song spread to this world. Merlin nodded in satisfaction.

Alice blushed, and glistening tears of humiliation burst out from her eyes. She feels like her noble soul was dishonored and her self-respect was trampled on by Merlin.

Alice, whose impression of the cruel and inhuman Merlin cannot get any worse, cursed his ancestors and descendants, wishing them to either be born without a penis or choke on something and die.

Alice secretly vowed that, after she reaches the Saint tier and learns the essence of Frost Swordsmanship from her teacher, she’ll find that scoundrel Merlin and smash his head like a watermelon!

“Alice, where is this?” Merlin turned around and asked, “Didn’t I tell you not to go ashore before reaching Great Britain?

“Why…” The gasping Alice spoke with difficulty, “Why don’t you see for yourself where this is? Idiot!”

“Hmm?!” Merlin’s face sank. Feeling that Alice is in need of a spanking, he made a wicked expression and threatened —

“Who do you think you’re talking to?”

“You washboard Hero…”

“Your temper is as bad as your chest is small.”

“You want to rebel, don’t you?”
